At Schott’s Lake RV & Guest Ranch Inc. we want your Bearberry Alberta vacation to be a memorable one.

Experience the best vacation destination ever with trail riding, river rafting, biking, ice skating, fishing, golfing, snowshoeing, hay rides, boating, hiking, cross country skiing, and so much more!

We offer a wide variety of excitement for the whole family to enjoy while you are our guests. If you want to stray further from the ranch we can arrange a pack trip of the area and ride where the wild horses roam.

Other summer activities a little less dangerous include: starwatching (no light pollution!), bird watching, photography, nature trails and relaxing while overlooking Schott’s Lake.

Visit the Bearberry Community webpage  to learn more about the area and how it all started.

Any Activity… Any Occasion

Several trail ride adventures can be arranged in the area.  Relax and enjoy an exhilarating horseback adventure in the spectacular Canadian Rockies. Ride through the panoramic scenery and marvel at the crystal clear waters of the Red Deer and Panther Rivers.

Rushing waters, high mountain meadows and exquisite panoramas are the perfect setting for horseback riding, wildlife photography and fishing.

Stretch Your Legs in our Backyard

Schott’s Lake has over 160 acres with numerous trails for you to discover.

From the trails along our Red Deer River to the multiple kilometers of trails along the Snake Hill Recreation Area, Sundre and the West Country will allow you to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors.

Sundre’s Snake Hill, a conservation area popular for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing is a great place to stretch your legs when visiting the area.  The Snake Hill is also the location of the great Snake Hill Slam – a 5km obstacle race that takes place in September of each year!

You’re likely to come across wildlife, so bring your camera.

If you are a golfing fanatic we can arrange for a game at one of the many fine facilities in the area.

  • Sundre Golf Club

  • Coyote Creek

  • Forest Heights

If you want the thrill of a lifetime or if you are planning a staff incentive trip, arrangements can be made for a whitewater rafting trip down the Red Deer River.

For your enjoyment during the winter months x-country skiing, skating on Schott’s Lake, tobogganing and snowshoeing are just the beginning of winter fun. Snowman and snow angel making is an art! Horse-drawn sleigh rides can also be arranged. Did we mention hot chocolate?

There is an abundance of hunting and fishing in the area. We can connect you with some of the best Guides and Outfitters packages in the Bearberry area. Ask about our hunting packages that include accommodations and daily meal plans.
